RETAINING YOUR INTERNET BANKING COOKIE IN INTERNET EXPLORER, FIREFOX AND NETSCAPE BROWSERS

Clearing cookies while retaining the online banking cookies in Internet Explorer 6

To clear all cookies from the system, but retain the banking cookies, perform the following steps:
1. Click Tools and then click Internet Options.

CAUTION: Do Not click the Delete Cookies button.

2. The Internet Options screen appears, as shown below.
You can click Delete Files and Clear History, but do NOT click the Delete Cookies button.

3. Click the Settings… button, as seen below.

4. The Settings window appears, to clear out your cookies without deleting the internet banking cookies, click the View Files…. button, as shown below.

The Temporary Internet Files window appears. This window contains a list of your temporary internet files, including the cookies stored on your computer. You can delete all files except for the Cookie:UserName@secure2.onlineaccess1.com/ file.

CAUTION: If this cookie is deleted, you will have to register the Internet Explorer browser again from this computer.

Adjusting Privacy settings for cookies in Internet Explorer 6

To properly adjust the Privacy settings, perform the following steps:

1. If your preference is to have a High privacy setting in Internet Explorer, which will block most cookies, then you will have to add our Internet Banking website to your Sites Allowed list. To do this, click the Privacy tab in Internet Options, and click the Sites… button.

2. After clicking the Sites… button, the Per Site Privacy Actions window will be displayed. Type secure2.onlineaccess1.com under Address of Web site: and then click the Allow button.

3. The domain onlineaccess1.com will be added to the list on Managed Web sites, as shown below. Click OK in the Per Site Privacy Actions windows, and OK in Internet Options to close the windows.

You are now able to access the Internet Banking website with the High Privacy setting.

NOTE: The Internet Explorer 6 default Privacy setting is Medium. At any Privacy setting below High, the Internet Banking site will not have to be added to the Allowed Sites list. The highest setting, Block All Cookies, will not work with our Internet Banking website.

To clear all cookies from the system, but retain the banking cookies, perform the following steps:

1. Click Tools and then click Internet Options.

2. The Internet Options window appears as shown below. Click the Delete button.

CAUTION: Do Not click the Delete Cookies button or the Delete All button as this will remove the Internet Banking cookie.

3. Click the Settings button in the Internet Options window.

4. Click the View Files… button.

5. In Windows XP, you will see the following, which is the location of the Internet Banking Cookie.
Do NOT delete the file Cookie:UserName@secure2.onlineaccess1.com.

6. In Windows Vista, the Internet Banking cookie is located in a different location that in Windows XP. You can navigate to Computer – AppData – Roaming – Microsoft – Windows – Cookies – Low to find the location of the cookie. Do NOT delete the UserName@secure2.onlineaccess1.com OR the index.dat files.

To clear all cookies from the system, but retain the banking cookies, perform the following steps:

1. Click Tools, and then click Options. (or Firefox > Preferences on a Mac).

2. On the Options screen that follows, click the Privacy tab and make sure the option Accept Cookies from sites is selected.
3. Click the Show Cookies… button.

4. Do NOT remove the cookie secure2.onlineaccess1.com.

5. To ensure the Internet Banking cookie is not deleted, click the Settings… and Clear Now… to view the respective options

6. Make sure Cookies is not selected.

7. To set up Firefox to accept only cookies from internet banking, uncheck Accept cookies from sites and click the Exceptions… box under Privacy, as shown below.

8. Type secure2.onlineaccess1.com under Address of web site: and click the Allow button.

You should see the site added the list with a Status of Allowed.

To clear all cookies from the system, but retain the banking cookies, perform the following steps:

1. Click Tools, and then click Options.

2. Click Site Controls.

3. Make sure that the Allow cookies option is checked.

4. Click Privacy in the Options window.

5. Select Cookies and select until they expire from the drop down menu.

CAUTION: Do Not click the Clear button as this will delete the internet banking cookie.

6. Click the View Cookies button.
